California's Local Technical Assistance Program

CALTAP helps California's local transportation agencies strengthen their workforce, improve project delivery, and stay current with evolving industry practices. Through training, technical assistance, and knowledge sharing, we connect professionals with the resources, expertise, and support needed for success.

As part of our commitment to expand training opportunities to our local agency partners, we've recently launched an On-Demand Training Catalog, a growing library of self-paced virtual learning with over 300 titles available anytime to help you access the training you need, when and where it's needed.

We've also launched two certificate programs to boost your professional development:

But wait, there's more! We're curating a showcase of California Innovation to help share agency best practices, and we're expanding our Equipment Loan Program in 2026 to include a Radar Speed Sign and Traffic Counter.

To stay informed about new training opportunities and important policy updates, consider subscribing. Have a request or feature you'd like to see, we'd love to hear from you!
