CONFERENCE: November 16, 2026 - November 18, 2026 , 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PT
The California Traffic Safety Summit brings together highway safety leaders, public health professionals, law enforcement personnel, and other traffic safety partners from across the state to build on the movement for safer roads.
As traffic deaths continue to trend downward, California’s positive momentum in traffic safety shows what can be achieved when collaboration, innovation, and data-driven efforts come together.
The 2026 summit theme, “Strengthening Traffic Safety Through Innovation and Partnerships,” affirms the importance of working together to prioritize traffic safety through proven and innovative solutions that prevent crashes and save lives.
Hosted by the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and AAA, the summit will engage and educate attendees with best practices, tools, and approaches to address persistent and emerging traffic safety issues on California’s roads.
Summit Goals:
Headquartered in Elk Grove, OTS is CA’s leading traffic safety agency tasked with developing and implementing a highway safety program to address behavioral factors that impact road safety.
Through funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, OTS provides over $100M annually in innovative, evidence-based education and enforcement programs designed to improve road safety.
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
