EQUIPMENT LOAN PROGRAM

CALTAP manages an equipment inventory for free agency loan-out on a monthly basis

Equipment Loan Program

CALTAP's Equipment Loan Program provides loans of several pieces of equipment to local agencies and contractors across the State of California. The program is designed to provide equipment, at no cost, to local agencies to assist them reach California's goals of fostering a culture of road safety, ultimately saving lives and promoting responsible driving behavior.

This program allows local agencies to access new technologies without having to make expensive purchases. It also allows local agencies to test out a piece of equipment in order to determine if a purchase is warranted. Most importantly, it allows local agencies to meet FWHA standards and regulations just as easily as agencies with larger budgets and staffs and allows them to accomplish these tasks with up-to-date and innovative tools.

At the present time, CALTAP has the 922 Handheld Retroreflectometer and StripeMaster 2 Touch Retroreflectometer available for loan. Details on the features, operation, and purpose of both pieces of equipment are provided on this website. If you are looking for a piece of equipment that you do not see listed on this website, please contact us and we will consider adding it to our program.
