California's Local Technical Assistance Program

CALTAP helps California's local transportation agencies strengthen their workforce, improve project delivery, and stay current with evolving industry practices. Through training, technical assistance, and knowledge sharing, we connect professionals with the resources and support they need to succeed.

As part of our commitment to expanding training opportunities for local agency partners, we recently launched an On-Demand Training Catalog. This library includes 300+ self-paced virtual courses available anytime, giving you flexible access to training whenever and wherever it works best.

We're also expanding professional development opportunities through certificate programs and specialized training resources, including:

In addition, we're curating a showcase of California Innovation to share agency best practices and highlight creative solutions from across the state.

In 2026, we're expanding our Equipment Loan Program to include a Radar Speed Sign and Traffic Counter.
