This comprehensive two-day in-person training is designed for novice and experienced grant writers alike. With 16 contact hours, the workshop equips participants with essential tools and confidence to secure funding for tribal communities.
Presented by the Center for Tribal Transportation at its training facility in Fountain Hills, AZ, participants will master skills such as navigating federal funding portals like Grants.gov and SAM.gov, distinguishing between formula funds and competitive grants, and applying a go/no-go framework.
This workshop also covers writing compelling narratives using the Need-Solution-Impact framework and building detailed budgets and work plans adhering to 2 CFR Part 200 cost principles. Attendees will also learn to manage awards from Notice of Award through closeout, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
This training is ideal for tribal transportation staff, planners, grant writers, finance professionals, public works and project managers, and Tribal leaders. Both new and experienced applicants are welcome.
The Center for Tribal Transportation (CTT) is a Native-American owned/operated non-profit corporation with principle offices in New Mexico and Arizona.
CTT provides training, education, tech support, and program mentoring resources for tribes and local agencies in transportation and infrastructure.
