The presentation will emphasize streamlining (compared to the ICE process), innovative intersection solutions, and their time and cost saving capability.

The Caltrans Intersection Safety & Operational Assessment Process updates the process the Department uses to evaluate proposed traffic control and design geometrics for intersections and other access improvements proposed on the State Highway System.
ISOAP is a data-driven, performance-based framework incorporating the Safe System Approach to screen intersection strategies and identify optimal solutions for new or improved intersections that considers all users.
