FHWA is now accepting applications for its Tribal High Priority Projects (Tribal HPP) Program, funded under BIL at ~$9M during fiscal year 2024.
Tribal High Priority Projects (Tribal HPP) Program – FY 2024 Kickoff webinar
Applications for Tribal HPP funding can be submitted anytime during 2023. On January 31, 2024, all applications will be reviewed for eligibility, evaluated, and ranked for funding. Those applications submitted after January 31st will be collected for review as part of the next fiscal year funding cycle.
To provide propsective applicants with information on how to apply for FY2024 Tribal HPP funds, FHWA is hosting a 90-minute webinar on October 11, 2023.

Under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), the Tribal High Priority Projects Program is a competitive set-aside of the Tribal Transportation Program (TTP) formula grant providing funds to:
• A tribe whose annual funding allocation under TTP is insufficient to complete their highest priority project, or
• Any tribe that has an emergency or disaster occur on a tribal transportation facility that renders that facility impassible or unusable and which is not eligible under the Emergency Relief for Federally Owned Roads (ERFO) program

California LTAP supports local public transportation agencies across the state by providing professional training, technical assistance, knowledge transfer, and worksite best practices and innovations that help them plan, manage, and maintain their roadway infrastructure.
