Technical Assistance Updates from the Safety Navigator

Posted: 9/11/2026

A strong safety plan should do more than document community needs—it should provide a clear path toward projects, funding, and implementation.

The Safety Navigator for California Communities (SNCC) is focused on how local and tribal agencies can use their existing safety plans to identify promising projects and pursue funding opportunities. It's September webinar offers practical strategies, California examples, expert panelists, and guidance that agencies can apply in their own communities.

Additionally, SNCC Director Dr. Anurag Pande is hosting regular virtual office hours to discuss project development, funding strategies, safety planning, and grant competitiveness. Stop by with questions about transportation projects or other challenges your agency may be navigating—no appointment necessary!
