Leveraging Safety Plans for Competitive Safety Grant Funding Applications shows local and tribal road agencies how to move from a Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP) or other safety plan to fundable safety projects and competitive grant applications.
Drawing on real California examples, speakers will share practical approaches for using crash data and safety priorities to identify projects, select proven countermeasures, develop systemic and site-specific improvements, and position projects for funding from programs such as the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP).
