Courses for CA public agencies in delivery of successful federal aid projects from procurement to close-out
This 3-day workshop covers the importance of coordinating with realty/right-of-way specialists early in the project development process.
It provides an overview of the basic appraisal requirements under the Uniform Act and applicable Federal regulations as well as how the valuation relates to the acquisition and relocation process.
The training explains the basic Uniform Act acquisition requirements, addresses negotiations, the administrative settlement process, "global settlements" and essential documentation. In addition, an overview of the Uniform Act Relocation Program for residential and non-residential relocation is presented with an overview of advisory services, relocation notices, relocation benefits, and payments, the importance of the realty/personality determination during the appraisal process, moving expenses, reestablishment elements, and essential documentation.

This workshop is designed to educate right-of-way professionals on the application of principles of relocation under the Uniform Act.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of a wide range of subjects in the field of relocation in relation to Federal and State laws and regulations.
Project managers, engineers, and those that work with local transportation projects that receive federal aid and/or state funds.

Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend a training for which you have registered, you must notify us at least five (5) working days before the training is scheduled to begin. The College of Continuing Education will refund any registration fee paid by the participant less a $25 processing fee. If the cancellation occurs within five (5) working days of the training, no refund will be issued.
