Road Safety Champion

A nationally-recognized “Roadway Safety 101” training series for professionals who aren't safety experts

RSCP: Partnerships for Safety Program Implementation

This 4-hour live-online course explores how best-practice public health models implemented with partners can improve the reach and effectiveness of traffic safety programming. This includes key distinctions between traditional deterrence-oriented programs and public health-informed safety programs and strategies for how to connect with public health partners.

This course is part of the Road Safety Champion Program (RSCP), a nationally recognized “Roadway Safety 101” certification training for professionals in transportation, public health, and first responder agencies who support roadway safety but are not safety specialists.

RSCP includes seven core modules plus career-focused pathways in Maintenance & Construction, Planning & Engineering, Public Health, and First Responder. By completing all seven core modules and one complete pathway, participants become eligible to receive their Road Safety Champion Certificate. A full list of RSCP training modules can be found at the National Center for Rural Road Safety.

"Partnerships for Safety Program Implementation" is the fourth of six modules for the RSCP Public Health pathway. Complete all seven core modules plus one full pathway to receive your Road Safety Champion Certificate.
