GIS & Road Safety Audits

TRAINING: August 17, 2026 - August 21, 2026 , 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM PT

GIS & Road Safety Audit Training is a 5-day introductory course specifically designed for the needs of tribal transportation professionals.

Conducted in-person at the Northwest Indian College Tulalip Campus in Maryville, Washington, participants will learn basic GIS skills using ESRI software to update and modify existing strip maps, understand the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) transportation inventory process and its importance for funding eligibility, and gain practical knowledge of conducting Road Safety Audits.

This live training hosted by the Workforce Development Institute (WDI) at PacTrans, also covers audit documentation, consultant coordination, and strategies for accessing federal transportation and emergency relief funding through accurate inventory management.
