Introducing Knowledge Café Tech Tastings

Posted: 7/2/2026

The American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Committee on Knowledge Management (CKM) recently hosted a Knowledge Café titled "Tech Tastings", bringing together transportation professionals to exchange practical ideas, tools, and innovations that improve everyday work.

This June 16th session featured short demonstrations from practitioners across state transportation agencies and was part of AASHTO's ongoing effort to promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the transportation community. Presenters showcased software, applications, and practical techniques they use to streamline workflows and increase productivity.

Participants were introduced to a variety of readily available tools, including knowledge management systems, AI applications, collaboration platforms, templates, and other real-world solutions that help organizations capture, share, and apply knowledge more effectively.

AASHTO Knowledge Cafés are informal, interactive learning sessions designed to encourage peer-to-peer knowledge exchange among transportation professionals. By providing a forum for agencies to share successful practices, innovative technologies, and practical lessons learned, Knowledge Cafés help accelerate innovation, reduce duplication of effort, and strengthen collaboration across the transportation industry.
