• SS4A – The Safe Streets & Roads for All competitive grant program provides funding to local, regional, and Tribal governments to fund safety initiatives aimed at preventing roadway fatalities and serious injuries. SS4A supports DOT's Roadway Safety Strategy and its goal of zero roadway deaths using a Safe System Approach.
  
  
• HSIP – The Highway Safety Improvement Program is a core federal-aid program to States for the purpose of achieving a significant reduction in fatalities and serious injuries on all public roads. California's Local HSIP focuses on infrastructure projects with nationally recognized crash reduction factors (CRFs). 
  
  
• ATP – The Active Transportation Program consolidates existing federal and state transportation programs into a single program with a focus to make California a national leader in active transportation.
