Federal Requirements for BIL Grants

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is hosting an online training session to assist local and tribal agencies with applying for transportation funding under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). BIL makes historic amounts of funding available, including approximately $351B for highway-specific programs, including many new formula, competitive, and discretionary grants

This free 90-min introductory course (followed by 30-min Q&A) covers:

  • Funding opportunities
  • Federal project delivery requirements
  • Steps to take prior to application
  • Pre-award requirements
  • Resources to leverage throughout the Federal project and grant application processes

Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) is the largest long-term investment in our infrastructure and economy in our Nation’s history.

BIL provides over $550B in new federal investment across FY 2022 – 2026 for transportation infrastructure, including in roads, bridges, as well as mass transit, water infrastructure, and broadband.
