FHWA's Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) is a core Federal-aid opportunity designed to achieve a significant reduction in traffic fatalities and serious injuries on all public roads, including those maintained locally and on tribal lands.
Each HSIP funding cycle requires a data-driven, strategic approach to improving highway safety on public roads with a focus on performance.
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
— Robert Brady
