The Western Tribal Technical Assistance Program (WTTAP) is hosting a 2-day Tribal Transit Workshop in Los Angeles, CA, that follows the National RTAP Transit Manager’s Toolkit framework; an online resource designed to help new rural transit managers operate efficiently and comply with federal FTA Section 5311 regulations.

This training covers Administration, Operations & Planning, Compliance, and Tribal Transit, with references to key federal circulars. Regularly updated, the Transit Manager's Toolkit* provides current guidance and allows users to suggest new topics for practical, day-to-day management support.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the core responsibilities of rural & tribal transit managers
  • Navigate federal regulations & ensure compliance with FTA Section 5311 requirements
  • Apply best practices in administration, operations, & planning for transit programs
  • Identify and utilize federal circulars & guidance relevant to transit management
  • Access & leverage Toolkit resources to address day-to-day management challenges
