The Center for Tribal Transportation (CTT) is offering a two-day in-person training on Transportation Design & Construction Contracts, focused specifically on tribal transportation professionals, to provide in-depth instruction on federal construction contracting as it applies to tribal transportation programs.
The course covers the full spectrum of contracting processes—from planning and procurement through construction administration, closeout, and maintenance—within the unique regulatory framework governing tribal transportation projects.
Participants will gain practical knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the FHWA Federal Lands Highway Program, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) transportation policies, 25 CFR Part 170 (Tribal Transportation Program regulations), 23 CFR (Federal Highway regulations), and the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (ISDEAA) as they relate to transportation construction and professional services contracting.
The training emphasizes real-world application through case studies, interactive exercises, sample contract documents, and group discussion.
The Center for Tribal Transportation (CTT) provides training, education, technical assistance and program mentoring resources for tribes in transportation and infrastructure.
It serves as a go-to local resource for Tribal transportation training, technical assistance, and technology transfer needs and opportunities to effectively carry out the Tribal Transportation Vision.
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
