TRAINING: April 22, 2026 - April 23, 2026 , 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PT
The Center for Tribal Transportation (CTT) is offering a two-day in-person training program on construction project management, designed specifically for transportation professionals responsible for managing construction and infrastructure projects on tribal lands.
The curriculum integrates industry-standard project management methodologies with the unique regulatory, cultural, and operational considerations that define tribal transportation projects.
Participants will gain practical, field-ready skills in Critical Path Method scheduling, risk management, communication strategies, project management plan development, scope definition, cost estimating, and leadership. The training emphasizes compliance with federal requirements including 25 CFR Part 170 (Tribal Transportation Program), FHWA standards, the Indian Reservation Roads program guidelines, and Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) construction procedures.
All course material is grounded in real-world tribal project scenarios, incorporating lessons learned from transportation planning, design, construction, maintenance, and professional services projects across Indian Country. Participants will leave with actionable templates, checklists, and frameworks they can immediately apply to their own projects.
The Center for Tribal Transportation (CTT) provides training, education, technical assistance and program mentoring resources for tribes in transportation and infrastructure.
It serves as a go-to local resource for Tribal transportation training, technical assistance, and technology transfer needs and opportunities to effectively carry out the Tribal Transportation Vision.
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
