Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) is hosting online workshops for its Planning for Main Streets project, a regional effort to reimagine state highway corridors that also serve as community main streets.
This project focuses on SR-1 in Los Angeles County, SR-18 in San Bernardino County, SR-39 in Orange County, and SR-86 in Imperial County, aiming to transform these roads into people-centered places that balance transportation with community well-being.
Throughout April and May, SCAG will host online workshops to introduce the local projects, review existing conditions, and gather community input. Feedback from participants will help inform corridor priorities and potential recommendations to improve safety, mobility, and placemaking. While each workshop will follows a similar format, its content will reflect the respective corridor.
Workshop Dates (6–7 p.m.):
These workshops provide a chance for the community to share input and shape the future of Main Streets across Southern California.
