This training covers differences between On-System and Off-System projects, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) vs California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) scoping with the Preliminary Environmental Study (PES) screening, and how to determine class of action for non-infrastructure projects.
Session Highlights:
The Environmental Compliance and Outreach (ECO) team within Caltrans DLA provides guidance and support to local agencies, tribes, and their partners on environmental requirements for federally funded transportation projects.
ECO helps navigate NEPA compliance, environmental documentation, and regulatory processes to keep local projects moving forward.
