The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) released its latest Transportation Trends Report, a bi-annual review of transit ridership, roadway performance, and commuting patterns across the six-county region.
Key Findings:
- Transit ridership & vehicle miles traveled (VMT) continue recovering
- Bus ridership leads recovery, light & heavy rail follow
- Commuter rail is slowest to return to pre-pandemic levels
- Automobile VMT is at 98% of pre-pandemic levels
- About 33% of workdays are performed remotely, reducing peak travel
