Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
WEBINAR: January 22, 2026, 7:30AM - 9:00AM PT
The Illinois DOT and National Local & Tribal Technical Assistance Program Association (NLTAPA) invite local agencies to join the fourth meeting of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinators Group, titled "Funding Matters".
The ADA Coordinators Group was formed to provide opportunities for collaboration, resources, guidance, and support to ADA coordinators in Illinois. Kicking off in July 2025, the Coordinator Group Meetings help participants strengthen accessibility practices and ADA Title II compliance efforts.
Participants will gain practical knowledge that can be applied as they work towards implementation of their ADA transition plan and barrier elimination required under Title II of the ADA. The session will outline a five-step implementation process that includes strategies for removal/mitigation of ADA barriers, cost estimating, identifying funding sources, where to focus, and schedule and budgeting.

Formed in 1991, the National Local & Tribal Technical Assistance Program Association is a not-for-profit member organization that represents the 51 LTAP and 6 TTAP Centers operating across the United States and Puerto Rico.
The association’s main objectives are to build awareness about LTAP within the transportation community, assist FHWA with developing program strategies, and build Center capacity to best meet the needs of local agency clients.
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
— Robert Brady
