Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
TRAINING: February 17, 2026 - February 18, 2026 , 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PT
The Nevada LTAP (NVLTAP) is hosting a 2-day training on PAVER 7.0 to provide useful guidance and tips for navigating for all experience levels.
The Pavement Maintenance Management System was developed in the late 1970s to help the Department of Defense manage its vast inventory of pavements. It uses inspection data and a pavement condition index for consistently describing a pavement's condition and for predicting its needs many years into the future.
PAVER provides pavement management capabilities to: (1) develop and organize the pavement inventory; (2) assess the current condition of pavements; (3) develop models to predict future conditions; (4) report on past and future pavement performance; (5) develop scenarios for M&R based on budget or condition requirements; and (6) plan projects. The two training sessions explain how PAVER supports these pavement management tasks.
During the training, an experienced instructor will demonstrate PAVER functions and then give you an opportunity to practice new skills and ask questions.
Topics Include:
Luis Sibaja, P.E. is a Pavement Engineer at Applied Pavement Technology, whose technical efforts focus on road pavement management and evaluation.
Mr Sibaja works with pavement mgmt systems like PAVER, Cartegraph, and StreetLogix, and trains agencies to use those tools effectively.
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
— Robert Brady
