Kick off your journey in road safety with Introduction to Road Safety, where the National Center for Rural Road Safety (NCRRS) opens the door to this season’s Road Safety Champion Program (RSCP), a nationally recognized certificate program shaping a knowledgeable, safety-minded workforce for local roads.

This training will provide an overview of safety trends and a national understanding of roadway safety. Also discussed are  techniques for safety collaboration, the importance of prioritizing safety over other considerations, and how an individual can become a Road Safety Champion.

This 2-hour course is the first in a 7-part series of online training that covers many of RSCP's career-focused modules. Each 2-hour session is free to attend and completion goes towards your requirements to become RSCP-certified. These courses may be taken out-of-turn and completed any time in the future when available.

RSCP is open to all staff from transportation, public health, and law enforcement agencies who have an interest in roadway safety but are not safety experts.
