Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
WORKSHOP: December 11, 2025, 9:00AM - 12:00PM PT [CLOSED]
The Local Infrastructure Hub is hosting a free 3-hour workshop on the Safe Streets & Roads for All (SS4A) program.
During the workshop, participants will gain grant-specific guidance on high-value federal funding opportunities and learn how to navigate application requirements, align projects with funding criteria, and strengthen implementation readiness. Participants will also have access to office hours with subject-matter experts.
SS4A provides funding to prevent roadway fatalities and serious injuries. Cities can use this funding to develop safety action plans, redesign high-risk corridors, or implement infrastructure improvements like sidewalks and crosswalks. This workshop explores how local governments can apply SS4A Planning & Implementation funding to advance roadway safety and address the needs of all road users.
The Local Infrastructure Hub is a national program designed to connect cities and towns with the resources and expert advice they need to access federal infrastructure funding in order to drive local progress, improve communities, and deliver results for residents.
The Hub's primary goal is to ensure that municipalities, including those with limited staff or technical expertise, can successfully compete for federal grants.
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
