WEBINAR: November 19, 2025, 10:00AM - 11:30AM PT
The National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE) is hosting a free webinar on Active Interchange Management (AIM) to explore its purpose, strategies, and potential benefits.
AIM encompasses a variety of operational strategies to improve traffic flow and safety at freeway interchanges. AIM is a modern approach to traffic management that focuses on optimizing the flow of vehicles at interchange merge and diverge areas and ramp terminals, where congestion and safety issues often originate.
This webinar discusses the situations under which AIM may be applicable and shares example locations where AIM has been implemented. It also presents a methodology that can be used to determine which AIM strategies may be useful for subject interchange areas and potential challenges in implementing them.
