Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) will soon open applications for the second Notice of Funds Available for the Regional Early Action Planning Grants (REAP) 2.0-funded Lasting Affordability Program. With $20M available, this competitive funding opportunity will support established housing trust funds and catalyst funds with innovative, ready-to-launch financing programs.
The REAP Grant 2.0 Program is a flexible program that seeks to accelerate progress toward state housing goals and climate commitments through a strengthened partnership between the state, its regions, and local entities.
Through REAP 2.0, approximately $560M was made available statewide for projects that lead to transformative policy outcomes and accelerate the implementation of regional and local plans that achieve the state’s priority planning goals.
The goal is for these trusts to expand finance tools and lending products that create supply, choice, and ongoing affordability through a mix of housing types and price ranges, including those for households at or below area median income.
The call for applications opens Nov 17th, closes Jan 20th. Find out More
