Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
TRAINING: December 11, 2025, 7:00AM - 11:30AM PT
The Ohio LTAP is hosting a free two-part webinar on traffic sign retroreflectivity.
Since drivers cannot see as many visual cues at night as they can during the day, this places greater reliance on signs and other traffic control devices. To provide nighttime sign visibility, signs are made using retroreflective sheeting. Retroreflectivity is the property of a material that re-directs light back to the originating source.
To comply with sign retroreflectivity requirements in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), public agencies need to implement and then continue to use an assessment or management method that is designed to maintain traffic sign retroreflectivity at or above the minimum levels specified.
This training consists of two parts, be sure to sign up for both sessions:
Part 1 of 2 – December 11, 2025, 7:00 AM PST
Part 2 of 2 – December 11, 2025, 10:00 AM PST

Instructor:
This workshop is aimed at roadway agency personnel who install and maintain signs and who want to learn more about the assessment methods that can be used to comply with the MUTCD retroreflectivity requirements.
