Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
TRAINING: November 5, 2025, 11:00AM - 12:00PM PT [CLOSED]
The National Rural Transit Assistance Program (National RTAP) is hosting a free webinar on General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) and National Transit Database (NTD) Reporting.
Accurate and up to date GTFS data is critical to ensure a positive rider experience, but it requires regular maintenance and updates. Incorrect or expired GTFS data is often more confusing to the transit rider than having no data at all. Imagine waiting for a bus where the bus will no longer stop, the service hours have changed because a holiday was not coded correctly, or the route canceled altogether.
This webinar supports rural transit agencies as they begin their GTFS updates. Attendees will learn how to conduct a data quality review and how to update GTFS data feeds.
Presenters:
This training is ideal for transit agency staff and planners responsible for GTFS reporting, staff responsible for NTD reporting, GIS teams for city/county/tribes, and data analysts.
The National Rural Transportation Assistance Program (National RTAP) addresses the training and technical assistance needs of rural, and tribal transit operators across the nation, and supports the state RTAP programs.
Its set of free technical assistance programs and resources includes training materials, webinars, newsletters and technical briefs, peer resources, research, and innovative technology initiatives.
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
— Robert Brady
