Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
UC Berkely's SafeTREC has redesigned its Transportation Injury Mapping System (TIMS) to create a single, centralized platform for all one’s data needs. The new TIMS is more powerful and easier to navigate, helping you find what you need faster to advance safer walking, biking, and rolling in your community.
What's New?
A Unified Platform: The Safety Heat Map tools were integrated directly into TIMS. No more switching between sites—all key tools are now in one place
Updated Data & Analysis Pages: Divided into Crash Summaries, Analysis & Visualizations, and Autonomous Vehicle Safety
A Streamlined Experience: With updated branding and visuals, the site is cleaner and more intuitive
For over 20 years, SafeTREC's TIMS has enabled quick, easy and free access to California crash data. It allows users to map, query, and analyze crash data to understand traffic safety issues statewide, in specific areas, or for particular types of incidents.
