Port Town Resilience: Thriving in Uncertain Times

Posted: 8/8/2025

SYMPOSIUM: September 15, 2025, 6:30PM - 8:30PM PT

The Cal State Long Beach (CSULB) Center for International Trade & Transportation (CITT) is hosting its 2025 Town Hall on Port Town Resilience: Thriving in Uncertain Times at Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo High School Auditorium in West Long Beach.

Port towns are tough, but tariffs, policy shifts, and aggresive new threats to supply chain certainty around the globe are testing that toughness like never before. It can make every member of the Southern California supply chain feel alone at sea with uncertain origins and destinations. Fortunately, every port town has a lighthouse, and a resilient team that stands together to weather the storms of uncertainty.

This year’s Town Hall celebrates the many port community leaders and supply chain stakeholders who have supported CITT programs over the last three decades, including the recipient of this year's prestigious Miretti Award, which recognizes a leader who has fostered partnerships along the supply chain, facilitated dialogue, and demonstrated long-term dedication to the industry.

CITT's Town Hall will conclude with a panel of experts to discuss ways in which Southern California supply chain stakeholders can again unite to find ways to thrive in unprecedented and uncertain times. It will be a night to remember!
