Key highlights on regulations, policies, and program funding for the transportation professional
TRB's CRP Special Release 5: Evaluation of the Every Day Counts Program assesses the Every Day Counts (EDC) Program’s effect on state and local surface transportation communities.
The Every Day Counts (EDC) Program is a key component of FHWA's Technology & Innovation Deployment Program (TIDP). Proven innovations promoted through EDC facilitate greater efficiency at the state, local and tribal levels, saving time, money and resources to ensure our infrastructure is built better, faster, and smarter.
This report documents an evaluation of the EDC Program.
Started in 2009 as a state-centric initiative for identifying and deploying proven, but underutilized, innovations that can make U.S. surface transportation more adaptable, sustainable, equitable, and safer for all. By accelerating the adoption of the selected technologies and practices, the EDC Program seeks to promote an innovation-oriented culture in the surface transportation community that will ultimately facilitate and accelerate the diffusion of promising improvements in the future.
The mission of the Transportation Research Board's (TRB) Cooperative Research Program (CRP) is to promote innovation and progress in transportation through research.
CRP seeks/shares knowledge that helps us tackle our nation’s toughest transport challenges: those we face today and those we'll likely face tomorrow.
Featured programs include:
"There can be no doubt that the transportation sector is the most critical sector of our economy."
— Robert Brady
