59th Annual California Native American Day
SPECIAL EVENT: September 25, 2026, 10:00AM - 2:00PM PT
On the 4th Friday of every September, California recognizes the tremendous contributions of Native Americans. In 2026, this event will be held in Sacramento under the theme Inherent Sovereignty: Tribal Nations Fighting to Protect Our Land & Defend Our People.
Activities Include:

- Cultural life-way demonstrations

What is Native American Day?
California Native American Day is celebrated annually to honor the culture, history, and tribal sovereignty of the state's Indigenous peoples.
Established as an official holiday in 1998, it serves as a time for education, community events, and recognition of California's rich Native American heritage.
